LEGO ARCHITECTURE: VILLA SAVOYE

March 03, 2015 in Product Reviews, Architecture, Games

LEGO Architecture captures all of the excitement of building an architectural model without the exhausting, back-breaking, finger-cutting realities. If you have ever cut and built a presentation model by hand you'll know the initial feelings of excitement and enthusiasm followed, many hours later, by the feelings of despair and physical pain. Ever think that it would be fun to get back into model making like you used to do in school? Try this. Being able to snap the pieces together and knowing that the model will turn out perfectly is a dream.

The Villa Savoye LEGO set contains 660 pieces and is L 7 9/16" x W 6 7/8" x H 3 5/16" when completed. This is one of the smallest sets in the LEGO Architecture series; the Villa Savoye model was scaled based off of the building's pilotis which were repurposed from LEGO Light Sabers. In addition to the bricks, the set includes a book with photos and information about Le Corbusier and the building and a handy LEGO brick separator tool.
